Masters of experimental sound Vytautas Labutis and Donatas Bielkauskas invite you to a sonic journey of industrial romanticism, where seemingly incompatible worlds merge – different creative practices and individual approaches. Both artists explore the interaction between human and the environment in their own way, and their musical dialogue is full of surprises. Although both creators actively express themselves in improvisational music, their origins lie in different stylistic poles. This stage meeting is the first in the context of a joint performance, despite previous encounters in other projects.

The concert will feature experimental sounds of acoustic instruments, field recordings of industrial spaces, and homemade instruments. All of this will merge into a coherent sound story – an adventure that the performers will invite to immerse in together with the audience. This is not just a concert, but also an experience that invites you to delve deeper, hear and rethink the world of sound anew.

Vytautas Labutis – is one of the most prominent figures in the Lithuanian jazz scene: a multi-instrumentalist, improviser, composer and pedagogue. His musical language encompasses free improvisation and fixed structures, chamber performances and large ensembles. Donatas Bielkauskas – is a creator whose music boldly balances between experimental electronics, ambient soundscapes and acoustic discoveries. His work combines technology, natural environmental sounds, industrial noises and unexpected, locally found objects. Donatas‘ works are distinguished by their conceptuality, sonic diversity and mastery.
